New Retail Consultation
The Council is aware that the retail centre at Wentworth Avenue does not fully meet the needs of the community, in its current state and position.
The Council is proposing to develop a new retail centre, which will provide for local shopping and community facilities within walking distance of both the Britwell and Haymill areas along Long Furlong Drive to the West edge of Kennedy Park.
The plans will also improve public space, safety and routes across the neighbourhood. It is the intention to replace any areas of public space or community facilities lost through the development, with an improved offer of both within the immediate vicinity.
Colliers CRE has instructed Beacon Research to undertake 1,000 telephone interviews and 500 door to door surveys with local residents over the next few weeks. The results of this questionnaire will be analysed by an independent consultant and results will be published for all local residents to view in the near future.
