Consultation Dates Announced
Following a period of information gathering, the application proposals for the Britwell and Haymill regeneration scheme are being prepared to present at consultation events throughout July.
The events will be held in the refurbished vacant shop, 61 Wentworth Avenue, in Britwell on:
- Thursday 9th July from 9am to 7pm
- Friday 10th July from 9am to 5pm
- Saturday 11th July from 9am to 5pm
The council is encouraging residents to come along, contribute their ideas to help shape the scheme and see how the phases are likely to move forward.
Any comments received will be considered and the plan will be formally submitted to the council later in the summer as part of the planning application for the regeneration.
Neil Aves, Assistant Director of Housing Strategy and Renewal for Slough Borough Council, said: "We're running a Saturday session and an evening session to ensure most people can attend. We will also display the plans in the unit windows to allow residents to view them when the venue is closed."
Cllr James Swindlehurst, commissioner for neighbourhoods and renewal, said:
"We've spent the past few months working with Britwell residents to agree the general principles of how we'll move the regeneration forward towards delivery. Following that consultation, we are now starting to plan the details of facilities and improvements the regeneration will contain. I do hope residents will visit the exhibition and contribute their ideas to the council officers. This is their chance to help shape the detailed plans being designed to give Britwell the better buildings and facilities residents deserve."
If you're unable to attend but would still like to provide your views, please email
